ACN Inc. Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

ACN, Inc. is a North American-based multi-level marketing (MLM) company which provides telecommunications, energy, merchant services and other services, depending on the country, through a network of independent sellers who also can recruit other sellers. Based in Concord, North Carolina, United States, ACN began operations in the United States in 1993.

ACN Inc. has poor Human resources, a toxic working environment, and employees are mistreated, according to a former employee at

"This place is toxic. From ridiculous demands from the owners to constant harassment from higher-ups to firings of good people. Stay far away from this place. The negativity at ACN is rampant. I have never worked in a place that is so inappropriate and HR just turns a blind eye. The owners hide behind religion but are truly not good people. Employees are seen as disposable and no one is treated well."

IBO (Current Employee) says

"Do not work for ACN. This is a scam, mlm, pyramid scheme. You don’t pay money to work at a real job. If you want to be in sales, sell cars, paper, padlocks, dog bowls, scrapple. Do not, I repeat, do not waste your time. Cons: No income, scam, pyramid, waste of time"

QA Lead/Process Lead (Former Employee) says

"After the founders held an all employee meeting to calm everyone of rumors concerning layoffs they laid off 3 of the 4 floors of corporate offices in Concord. After sitting on the edge of the stage talking to everyone in the room to tell them that they had nothing to worry about and that their jobs were safe ... they began laying off entire departments/floors. They tout that they are Christians and yet openly lie to their employees? I worked for many years there. Many weekends and evening work I was never compensated for out of loyalty to the company. Then they let go massive amounts of their staff. Many of those employees having been with the company 10 or 20 years. Don't get sucked into this MLM like I did."

Flashwireless (Former Employee) says

"Waste of time manager lies always changing schedules supervisors never there,, I wouldn’t recommend no one for this job only thing that was good they give you a card to eat free,,, Cons: Manager lies"

Charlotte (Former Employee) says

"The supervisor are racists and very uncomfortable to work with. If she dont like you , she a find a way to fire someone. I worked there almost 4 years to I transfer to her department and she rode me right out the door. The cust are very disrespectful and you cant release the call you never could get help by anyone. The calls are back to back and the disrespect is in almost on every call"

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) says

"This job was by far the most stressful I’ve ever had, and the pay does not make up for it. You will make around $13/hour. The customers here will cuss you out, belittle you, talk down to you, and never listen to a thing you have to say. Management is lazy and doesn’t even help even if you ask for it. Management will gossip about employees and each other. Other employees will start unnecessary drama too. This place is a cesspool for drama. There’s not really anything good to say about this place. They will allow customers to continuously get scammed by “IBO’s” and never do anything about it. Prepare to hear about 50 complaints a day of people telling you they’ve been scammed. The company is pretty much a scam. The services suck, the speeds of internet are extremely slow. Technicians never show up causing people to be without service for weeks. Phone repair times can take almost a month. If something goes wrong you’ll be faced to pay an early termination fee of $100 and up. Did I mention management SUCKS and never do anything to resolve any sort of problems. You’ll be stuck on your own to figure out your own issues. Website is confusing for ordering as well, so customers never know how to do anything on their own. This place is such a complete mess. If you are someone who stands up for themselves and is vocal about things that can be changed they will hate you and find a way to get rid of you. I would never recommend this place. I wouldn’t even work here if the pay was higher. That’s how much this place SUCKS. Cons: Management will gossip, drama, cold office, no work/life balance."

Independent Representative (Former Employee) says

"Initial scope was not what I was told in the introduction, coming into the business. Found the structure to be more of a ponsie inverted pyramid style."

Telecommunications Seller (Former Employee) says

"I was pressured as a teen into taking 500 dollars that I didn't have, I acquired by being forced to apply for a credit card and putting my bank into an overdraft."

Business Owner/Manager (Former Employee) says

"Fee to join, enormous amount of work before any hopes of return, relentless hours which isn't ideal when managing a family............................ Cons: long non paid hours"

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"Pay was very demeaning for what they demanded of employees however did enjoy assisting customers with their questions and working with coworkers meeting new people. It was same routine every day."

Executive Assistant (Former Employee) says

"this place is the worst, they all act like a bunch of mobsters from Detroit, running a pyramid scam. the rich kept getting richer and the little guys got the shaft."

Trainee (Former Employee) says

"Waste of time and in the end you have to pay money. It is a scam!!! Stay home.dont waist the time ! It is not Worthing to go to their presentation. It is a big scam ! Cons: Waste time"

Independent Business Owner (Former Employee) says

"not the best business i went into, would recommend staying far away from it and not listening to anyone about it, do not attend the meetings will be waste of time"

Independent Sales Representative (Current Employee) says

"It was an OK company to work for. You have to just sell things that the company makes. It's actually identical to amway, except this one works a little better I guee"

Customer Service/Sales Representative (Former Employee) says

"Each day there would be a new process for a process we just learned a couple of weeks prior to the new format. The management was inconsistent with coaching opportunites."

Sales (Former Employee) says

"You pay them to work for them. Possibly one of the worst companies to ever exist. The ones who have found success here are delusional bigots who cut all ties with their friends and have no social life. This job requires you manipulate and use people. Cons: Everything"

Independent Business Owner (Current Employee) says

"need to grow as a management. they could really stand to improve in helping out their younger constituents with personal growth. as well as lend more hands on development."

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"Attendance is over everything, they will fire a good worker for attendance and keep a bad employee with good attendance. Cons: None"

Flash Wireless Agent (Current Employee) says

"The culture at ACN is terrible along with the management. Systems are not up to date and most of the training was not helpful. Pay is decent but not worth the stress."

Wireless Service Agent (Former Employee) says

"I do not recommend this as a place of employment at all. You are not allowed to have an opinion or have a personality here. You can be fired without being coached and for no reason whatsoever. You will not even get the chance to improve or do better. You are also discouraged from reporting employees that are doing wrong things. Very unethical company. not apply here all...No open door policy with management at all...if you go through that door then you are out the door..literally. Cons: unethical managers"

Team Leader (Former Employee) says

"Selling items/products of the company and trying to recruit others through cold calling and family/friends. I learned how to do some business world items and general business knowledge. I had no co-workers just had team members. Hardest part of the job was trying to put meetings and hosting to recruit people because many were not ready to invest the amount the company required to start with the company. The conferences were fun to attend and meet new people. Cons: Hosting, cold calling, money investment"
